Greetings !!

 

Not sure if I understand the exact scenario of yours, but since I have implemented something similar, let me see if I can be of any help.

 

We have implemented something on similar lines in our environment. Its Windows environment, SSO using trusted Auth mechanism using Siteminder for authentication purpose.

 

We have not come across this scenario mentioned above, (let me check on this behavior and get back to you).

 

1) For us, when the user logs in for the first time he needs to enter the credentials for authenticating the Siteminder once. Do your users need to authenticate at-least for the first time against the IBM tivoli access manager ?

2) For us, I guess, after the session timeout, the user would be required to authenticate against the Siteminder, but that seems okay to me. Is that something you are trying to avoid ? I really do not see it as an issue, though.

 

3) You mentioned that the user do not know or remember their password, and thats why you are trying to fix this. For us, the ONLY password the user need to enter are the credentials they use to login into their Laptop. So they DO NOT have to remember anything else, which is why SSO has configured in first place.

 

Let me know your thoughts.

Hello Gurus,

                 My client requirement is Ex: if a new equipment cost is 100 rs and if my refurbishment cost of that equipment is 60 rs or more, then refurbishment order should not be saved/ released.

How can this be achieved?

Making invisible a password field is only acceptable with non-critical passwords, usually this should be systematically avoided.

 

Whatever. The field "invisible" is not blocked usually, check twice, or it's because your field is not "input/output", or the program's source system is different from current source system...

Display custom message in EHP5 detail screen

Hi,

We have  EHP5 ESS  Personal Profile application.

As per requirement once we click "Other Bank"  or "Main Bank" from Bank overview ESS screen then in "Main Bank"  or "Other Bank"   Detail screen one permanent custom message will display.

 

Could you please tell me how I can achieve this.

Change message protocol in channel from xml to csv simple  to the xml to csv structural.... You can handle this

All reporting calc views have same authorization privilege and this issue is only for 1 single reporting calc. view.

Yes, I have redeployed the view and it's successfully redeployed without any warning or error but still issue persist.

When you have two issues, you should raise two discussion threads. Now you have one issue resolved, but there can only be one "Correct Answer."  If Anji's response resolved your issue, please mark it as Correct, then start a new discussion thread for your second issue. The classification in material master is connected to MARA table, no information on a country at this level.

In the customizing of the class types you define if multiple classes are allowed or not, however for batches no multiple classes are allowed, see the reason in OSS Note 115581 - No multiple classification for batches

Hi Praveen,

 

Do you know what is the instance name you have installed?

Tip:

 

You can start the SQL Server Browser service, so you can navigate and find out which SQL Server instances are available in this server.

 

You can also look at SQL Server Configuration Manager to find out which instances are installed, services are running, etc.

 

Since you are on Windows 2008, open a powershell window and run this script:

 

Get-ItemProperty ‘HKLM:\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\Instance Names\SQL’ | findstr MSSQLSERVER

This will print out installed instances. If you find out your instance installed there, you can simply try to connect with <HOSTNAME>\<INSTANCENAME> or <HOSTNAME> if this is the default instance.

Hi Martin,

 

Thanks for the hint. I should have looked up the central SUM note again ;-).

 

There the solution is mentioned - though I do not know why it did not come up when searching for the key words.

 

For me it worked fine after executing the SACMINT Transaction with "delete orphaned ABAP artifacts".

Thanks for the update but I didn't keep any space between Ctrl & J but still not getting the result.

 

 

As I also mentioned above, Once I give cell format & save my report and  Next time when I open BPC report, the cell format gets change. Does it happen with you also ?

Hi Safiq,

Follow the below SPRO path and maintain the gateway system details. This will enable the option you are looking for in gateway builder to register the services.

 

SAP NetWeaver-> Gateway Service Enablement-> Backend OData Channel -> Connection Settings to SAP NetWeaver Gateway -> SAP NetWeaver Gateway Settings

 

However this is not mandatory, you can use transaction /n/IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE in gateway system and perform the registration.

SSL LDAP connection from Enterprise Portal

Hi,

I just installed Enterprise Portal on NetWeaver 7.42. I am trying to configure it to use MS LDAP server for user authentication with an SSL certificate. The LDAP system is maintained by our IT department and is made up of three servers. The main LDAP server I connect to is auth-root which looks to auth-student and auth-office to verify user IDs. I can bind with auth-root server from the NetWeaver server using ldapsearch and SSL. But when I try to validate the configuration from NetWeaver I receive the following error in the log file.

 

 

DataSource LDAP_ROOT64094220199: Initialization of connection manager failed, due to SSL configuration lazy initialisation.

 

 

If I select the Browse button under UME Configuration on the portal I can see the tree structure for our LDAP systems. Unsure if I need to go direct to auth-office and auth-student server?

 

 

Attached is a part of the trace file from testing the connection.

 

 

Below is the private section form the data source configuration xml file.

thanks for your answer.

 

I just activated the Multiple Script Option and logged on again. But unfortunately it didn't work.

 

I tried it just with the word "Bank" translated as バンク, but the same error message appeared: Please enter only Katakana Characters.

Hi Ramesh,

 

 

I don't know how you set VBRP-ZZKZWI in your programming logic, but the only possible solution that comes to my mind is to write a Z-program. Input parameter should be billing documents, and according to your logic it will update (actually modify...) your field.

Hi,
