Getting the below error.
Severe error(s) occurred in phase PREP_INIT/VALCHK_INI!
Last error code set: DMIS is in an undefined state, that is not safe to be upgraded, reason Upgrade wasn't completed - Call the SAP Support
Please advice.

You bet I can keep you posted. Unfortunately we had some issues in another area that effected us for a couple days. We are back up now though and it doesn't look like the solution we discussed in the thread is going to work for us so we have decided to move the logic to the EH Upd.Acty 2 within the Event Handler type. At this point we should have all the information we require to post the event to the FO/FB handler and then let TM propagate it to the FUs.
I'll try to remember to come close this post out once I confirm this is working for us.

I have made a mistake - thinking about sorting, not filtering. But even with filtering by hiding rows you have to use more intelligent methods to find the last row of the refreshed report...

sometimes it's good to bring something up again The IP is defined by the source system. If you develop on the partner tenant and deploy the solution to the customer test tenant, the Intelectual Property is at you, because you have the original solution.
If you start your development on the customer test tenant, the IP is with the customer.
But this is only the legal situation (disclaimer: no guarantee, I'm not from the legal department).
The byd/c4c system supports multiple partners. This means when your user is assinged to your partner, you can only see solutions that got created with your partner ID (you or a colleague of you).
If someone with another partner ID logs on, he would not see your solution. So each partner can only see his own solutions.
I'm not exactly sure how this user to partner ID assignment is done. I'll try to find more details on this.
I'm more familiar with the C4C world, where the partner ID is the customer ID and all developments are starting on the customer tenant. There of course every partner can see the solutions. But this is okay as the IP is with the customer and the customer often wants to have multiple partners working on one AddOn.

We have two out of five licenses that where assigned previously years ago and now need to be reassigned and software installed on a new PC. I am not even sure if the software is / was even installed on a PC to begin with. I am not the person who has dealt with the licensing in the past. We still have the lic files that where generated I believe, so I assume somebody with appropriate rights needs to sign on to SAP, adjust the licensing, and generate new lic files. Any help appreciated as always.
There is no setting in SMP 3.0 SP05 for this, only a database table change which is not recommended. In later versions (I believe starting in SP06), in SP08: Management Cockpit – Settings – System – Other Settings – Online Proxy Connection Settings.

Don't know if this helps in your case, but I have an application where the phone number is just shown in a text field and the phone recognizes it as a phone number and "click enables" it.

That is by design, When using Print button it uses the default printer settings and does not use what is saved in the RPT file.
Download my test app from KBA 2163438, app is attached. In SP 14 you can set the Print Button to use the PrintOutputController API which uses the CR Designers Printer Dialog box, only issue is when using the paper tray it does not load it by default. Should be fixed in SP 15 dues out end of this month.

As Bret pointed out "native" BCP uses SAP/Sybase binary format. It is invoked with "-n" option on the bcp command line. It's output is not in an editable text format as you may get when you use "-c" option of bcp command.
Native format is typically useful when
- you have same source and target OS platforms
(i.e. cross platform data portability is not required)
- you do not need to check/edit the bcp output file generated out of source
Benefits are
- takes less space compared to character mode output
- slightly faster that character mode bcp
Really useful for porting data from system tables like syslogins
E.g. during upgrades you want to take logins from source instance to the target(s) while retaining passwords.

Thanks Chris! It works fine...
Was able to identify that the receiver system had a huge job running which was causing the time out and hence receiver system was sending timeout as server response.
We have changed the time of the job and now we do not see any time out errors.

It looks like you're trying to set up heading values for your report columns by putting words like "Latitude" into the internal table of data that you'll be reporting. That's just not going to work!!
