Hi Experts,
We're facing this error upon running the Preliminary cost estimate (via KKF6N). The system complains about one of the components of the Cost Component Structure of being only Variable opposed to "Variable + Fixed"
The text of the Error Message Diagnosis is as below:
" The cost rollup resulted in a cost element containing fixed costs than cannot be assigned in a cost component structure ZG because cost component 030 was only defined variable cost in customizing."
I completely understand the "Cost Component Structure" configuration, but the cost elements assigned to the cost component (030); that the system complaining about; are not Fixed cost elements. Those Cost elements are primary cost elements and have nothing to do with planning on manufacturing cost center.
The fact is the system now live, and this issue is in production. Yet im not able to re-produce the issue in the QA client, and I don't want to change the cost component config in dev and transport it to production, which might break something else.

Do you see any other reason why we get this error message?? Any safe way to fix it ?? Any idea of re-producing the issue??
Currently MF30 for the materials in question works fine in QA but in production.
