TW,
I have been lucky enough so far in that for the systems I have worked on, customer numbers had been assigned to external number ranges, so that we could create identical customer numbers in dev, qual, and prod clients. Therefore I never had to directly configure customer numbers in the prod client as you did.
In the place where I am currently working, there had previously been a procedure whereby we would open the productive clients to edit Factory Calendars directly. However, after getting quite a bit of static from our auditors, we were able to establish a standard process, with new policies and procedures, where we now transport all calendars.
We still have a procedure to 'open' the entire productive client for changes, but it is now rarely used.
As mentioned by expert Caetano, it is also possible to permanently change selected 'customizing' settings to 'current' settings, so that they no longer are considered to be configuration-restricted.
Best Regards,
