Hello everyone,
I am working with a table that seems to defy all rules. And I would really appreciate some assistance with this please. I need a message to appear when a set of cascading drill filters are selected. Such as, Choose Drill A + Drill B = Message in report like "Sorry, this combination does not exist"
Specifics:
- Web Intelligence document -- connects to universe (dynamic)
- I've set a message to appear when a formula is true . . . . . =If [table] = 1 Then "Yes" Else "Sorry, this combination does not exist"
- The message doesn't appear whether the condition is true or not.
Options selected:
- Hide when empty
- Hide when following formula is true:
Options not selected:
- Hide always
I've tried to drag this formula in an empty space and then checked the formatting again. The check box for hiding sometimes is checked with blue. I also tried to create this formula in a blank, new report from same document. The same thing happens (text is missing when using the cascading drill filters).
I did make sure to hit Apply --> OK. Still, this does not take.
I've attached a picture that I hope will shed light on this.
I also tried to uncheck "hide when empty" and "hide when following formula is true:"
I would greatly appreciate any insight please.
Thank you in advance!
Robert
