Applying Service packs and patches are really needed as they resolve most of the issues. SAP has already released many SP for 4.0 and patch to upgrade to 4.1.
You can upgrade to 4.1 SP1 directly from 4.0 SP4 version and then also apply SP2 for 4.1
Just in case you want to troubleshoot, please revert and our forum members can help with multiple suggestions on the same.

it seems that you don't wanna take a look at the product documentation as you are coming back after a few seconds for my response.
Sd I mentioned, take a look at the product documentation and take a look for which use cases you do need the ABAP Transports.
In case you are looking at the Crystal Reports transports you should look at Crystal Reports 2013 and use the latest transports from Crystal Reports 2013.
as mentioned, please take a look at the installation material to understand what the scenario for the transports is.

i've attached a sample report that has a bunch of different time difference calculations on it including a summary...see the last column for examples of the HH:mm display. to use the report, extract the contents of the attachment and change the .txt extension to .rpt.
You fixed it by configuring SCOT?

I am using CR 2011, version 14.0.4.738 RTM.
We are running Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit servers.
I only see this when I export a report to a .pdf using the export button on the viewer. If I export to a .doc format, we do not see these formatting issues.

Thanks for your reply, yes this issue in ECC System and it is raised by User and they are saying that there is problem on PI side and i have checked it in sm 59 and st22 and sldcheck there are all fine there is nothing from PI side and i have not checked in ECC System.I have cheked there is no dumps all are fine.
Is it really PI Issue or Basis issue can you just clarify.On what cased we will get this isssue.

I have configured the performance appraisal template in the Row layout format. My query is, in the attached screenshot below , Is it possible to adjust /reduce the space between two columns as highlighted. Also , to reduce the width of note box attached with every column. If yes , then what is the ideal way. Is it through configuration or is a customisation.
We need to cut the blank space as marked in the screenshot attached.

This dataflow just has 2 worktables as Source and Target and one QT.
Other than Lookup function for 2 columns, its a simple source to target mapping in QT.

I don't quite understand. I have opened the new PAM , navigated to NW7.03, Browser Support, and selected MacOS. Here I can see 9 entries of supported browsers - 5 Safari, 4 Linux.
Where is the information that this is not supported?

Earlier I achieved to update Z-Field (only one field ) in EKPO table by using BAPI_PO_CHANGE .
But now my current scenario is bit different from i.e we would like to add Z fields in EKPO table by using BAPI_PO_CHANGE .
However the Z FIELD is not created in BAPI's Extension structure BAPI_TE_MEPOITEMX . But directly append in EKPO table .
So would like to know the process to change the update EKPO table .
This scenario we are doing this in BSP . So can any one suggest me any BAPI or FM to achieve .
Note : My client doesn't want to add the Z filed in the EKPO table structure CI_EKPODB .
