Process Control - Custom fields for Regulation (O9) and Regulation Requirement (OB)
HI all,
I'm wondering if anyone out there has tried creating custom fields for the Regulation and Regulation Requirement objects in GRC Process Control 10/10.1.
The documentation I've found tells me various other objects can be extended using custom fields but they leave out Regulation and Regulation Requirement, I'm not sure why this is so I was interested in finding out if anything has done it or considered it before.

The reason why we had implemented custom deployment logic is when supply < demand,
we would like to sort (descending order) demand of the destination locations and confirm the deployment stock transfers based on maximum quantity (new field created in the product-location master) maintained.
When some times supply > demand, we would like to maintain the same logic we had developed using fair share rule 'X'. How to tell the system to ignore the situation when supply > demand and only consider the custom logic maintained with fair-share custom BadI.
Right now what i am seeing in the tests is when supply is more than demand, the destination locations are fulfilled completely without considering custom logic we had implemented (i.e sort demands and confirm based on maximum quantity from the product-location master).

Dealing with customer specific fields on the partner development tenant
Hello all,
we are going to deal with customer specific fields which are created by the administrator in adaptation mode.
There is a special tool which allows the use of those fields - "References to customer-specific fields"
In order to use it you have to create those fields first.
Now my question is as for how we can develop a solution with such a requirement in the partner development tenant, as it is not possible to add customer fields there?
As SAP Case note 1679453 claims
" It is not possible to add customer fields (use the field extensions of the standard SAP Business ByDesign System) in partner development tenants."

Hi Vijay,
In the last screen shot I observed that the background job has status "scheduled". Only background jobs with status "released" are going to run. Could this be the issue, the background job with status "scheduled" will not run? It could be an authorization issue.

Hi Pat,
You will need a DSO for Direct Update. It comes along with a set of APIs which can be found in SAP Help. You have to be careful if you are going into this direction, e.g. how to deal with locking?
I suggest as an alternative to consider Integrated Planning. It has out-of-the-box functionality for data input. You can make an input-ready BEx Query available for business user to input the data.

Hi,
Although it is not completely clear to me what you mean by 6, 3, 5, I assume that you are talking about the number of background processes. It is indeed possible to define a higher number than 3 (default value). However, it will be dependent on the availability of free background processes at run-time.
Do you have any indication of bottlenecks in number of available background processes?

Hi,
That's what happens when not all InfoCubes's dimensions are loaded in the same transformation. Two entries are created in the cube, one coming from each flow, the non-loaded characteristics from DSO1 produce some Not Assigned characteristics and the non-loaded ones from DSO2 produce the other ones.
The solution is to load all the cube's characteristics on a single transformation. You could choose DSO1 --> cube1 or DSO2 --> cube2 indistinctly. The important thing is that some ABAP coding inside this transformation will be necessary to join DSO1's characteristics with DSO2's ones. This way the cube will end up with a single entries with all their dimensions filled. No more Not Assigned values will be there provided they aren't present from the DSO's.

Ten this is not the route. You need to explore implicit enhancement points of the program SAPLCNPB_M (CJ20N). OR find suitable exits/ BAdi. Study the Exits from CNEX0001 to CNEX0008 , (As the name indicates CNEX0001looks suitable). In fact you should study all the exits starting with prefix CNEX.

Deleting a particular row based on conditional

I'll like to take advantage of the known expertise that all of you have on this topic to ask a question regarding data-handling in Crystal Reports.
Currently, I have an Account table, but there is one condition that I need to validate in order to complete the report itself.
Please check the following table as an example.

Based on that table, check the Account ID10001, the idea of the condition is that it validates per row if the Account Area is set, then take the corresponding Account ID and remove or hide the rows where the Account Area is blank (So they won't be valid in grouping or summarizes)

Again thanks for the response. I'm aware that we could add the parameter in the Event Data logic but shouldn't this be going through the preprocessing logic? Is there any reason it may not be going through the preprocessing logic? When you send events through Event Data is preprocessing logic executed?

Do you want to remove all rows where there is no account area, or, as in your example, the first one will appear?
If you want to remove all of them, then use the Select Expert and include something like this in the selection formula:
not IsNull({MyTable.AccountArea}) <--Use your actual table and field name here.
This will keep any records that don't have an account area from even being pulled from the database, so you won't have to do anything special with them in the report.
