SBO - MRP - Min Max

0
0

Hi,

The company I work for is  currently implementing SBO and I am currently testing the MRP. We are a buy and sell operation with very few manufactured products therefore MRP is being used primarily for purchasing.

We currently use min max levels, the difference we have is that we pull all outstanding purchase orders into the mix when working out what to buy. The MRP in SAP only pulls the open PO into the calculation when it is due within the lead time for the item.

Example

50 in stock

0 demand

Min 100

Max 200

Open PO 100

If the open PO is due later than the lead time set against the item the suggestion is for 150.

If the open PO is due within the lead time set against the item the suggestion is for 0.

Does anyone know how to change this so that all open POs are taken into account regardless of the due date? We regularly have open POs that are delayed from some suppliers and have to push the due dates out. If an item is delayed I cannot allow MRP to advise me to keep reordering as it will overstock.

Only idea I have had is to set all lead times against the items much longer than we would expect to receive them so all open POs will be considered but this seems like a fudge to me.

Hope someone can help

Tom

Re: Not getting OData in the view when triggering the call in Component.js

Hi Preetam,

Thanks for your comments.

When I init the OData in the Component.js, the OData call is done async, next the view is initialized and the OData call returns just after.

I can see in the view the OData result but the view does not reflect the information bound.

Now, I init the OData model in the Component.js and trigger the OData call in the controller and this is working fine.

So, I would not invest more in this area I think .

Kind regards,

Serge.

Hi everyone

We are in the process of upgrading our ECC ERP system from EHP5 to EHP 7 on OS: HP-UX.

as for preparation, we did a system copy of this system (NP3) to a test

system (NP3) and successfully upgraded the test system to EHP 7.

we now want to continue with the rest of the system but got stuck in

PREP_EXTRACT/SSFS_PREP for the past 10 days. we configured SSFS and the

SAP system is up and running. R3trans -d returns no errors. please see below for log,

Re: Filter in Delta Mode

Hellow Sander van Willigen,

thanks for your reply.

yes you did understand it correctly. but the problem is not with my coding. the problem is that the 3rd party tool uses the functions of function group RSAP and that the standard SAP-workflow is a bit wired, when it comes to extractions

In the call in the very beginning of standard sap coding, i can see the filter criteria via debugger (in init and Delta mode-call). But when my custom function is called inside the standard coding, the filter criteria is only moved to the input-parameters of my custom-function when it is a init-call. a Delta-mode call does not provide the selection criteria in the input parameters of my custom function.

theres also a little "Bug" with extractions with custom functions i got aranged with.

When it comes to extractions with custom function i found out that there is no way via standard SAP to figure out (inside the custom function) if its a delta call or a full load.  (because SAP got different interfaces for their own calls of FMs and calls of Z-FMs - in call of Z-FMs they droped the MODE-parameter) so if you just want to select delta data in a custom function, you got a big problem

still there is a little trick to find out the mode. it is by defining your extraction as generic Delta field in RSO2. because then the standard sap behavior is to add this field to the selection criteria inside the custom FM in delta mode, but not in Full-Mode. this makes you able to find out if its a delta call or a full call

neverthe less in init call i get all the filter criteria. but in delta call i get only the 1 field in filter criteria, i set in rso2, but no more filter for example the language or the order type and stuff like that.

the 3rd party tool is "theobald". if i want to debug the calls of theobald, i set an external break point in include LRSAPF01 at line 511.

im just working with exractions in ERP for 1 year. So far i can tell that the standard SAP-extraction process got some mean pitfalls

i got th feeling that maybe SAP-BW does the filter in BW itself and not in the data-extraction in ERP. because it looks like it is not possible to pass the filter criteria to the custom function.

maybe its possible for ale-extractions but custom-FM extractions seems to bedifferent.

well you did answer my qustion as you said that it is possible in SAP BW to also filter the delta-extractions.

Stefan Seeburger

Re: Changing Material for Service Contract

Hi,

Check the document flow if the contract has been processed further and subsequent documents have been created with reference to this contract, if yes, in that case you will have to first reverse all the documents and then try to change the material in this line item.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Gaurav,

I have one more question to you. Node is defined as a Hana Server. If i Installed SAP HANA database in scale-out environment (9 worker + 2 standby = 11 nodes) for high availability and configured auto host failover. ?

Explain this process in Scale out Environment. How  much size we need to allocate for the each Node.

Hi Jonathan,

The "partner" offer is available only for SAP partners and it has a discounted price. There is no other difference.

Re: Quota generation in inactivity period

Most important point Inactive status is not considered in the Quota reduction concept for the same what we will have to implement a exit i.e enhancement.

The other option if you are manitaining absence(LOA) for that particular period we can configure a reduction rule and generate quota on pro rata basis.

Where in your case you are saying in mid of the month he comes back system should not generate quota for entire month to handle this we should play around with employment status and absence types and needs to map it with the help of PCR.

If you could not able to write a PCR better take help of technical consultant, ask him to implement an exit(Enhancement).

I Hope it can be handled with the help of PCR as well,Need to put some efforts.

Further if it is proportionate reduction we can handle it in a straight way with the help of reduction rule.

Can you give an example of the dates with which the action will be run? e.g. IOf the employee is inactive from 01.04.2015, and then joins back on 15.04.15, will 15.4.15 be the start date of the Reactive action?

Check if the option "No Proxy" is selected, the default option is system proxy setting, try to avoid it and do not use a proxy.

After saving, restart SAP LUMIRA and it should work. It worked fine for me.
