If the report above is right, this is my suggestion:
We have recently got few requirements where in user wants to display cumulative values based on fiscal period selected in the selection screen.
Scenario: From 001.2015 To 003.2015 in the prompt (interval variable). Now based on TO period values from last 12 period should be calculated and displayed in the report.
for example period from From 001.2015 To 003.2015, last 12 period will be 004.2014.
So the report should display the sum of all the values for these 12 periods and display for 003.2015.
Let's call your variable ZFISC_RANGE (the variable where user enters range of fiscal year/period)..
Assuming that you have a global filter to your query using the object FISCAL YEAR/PERIOD, remove it in the global filter..Make a DUMMY RKF with any keyfigure on it together with fiscal year/period object..Filter your fiscal year/period with ZFISC_RANGE..HIDE this RKF..
Then create another RKF with the keyfigure you will be using and the object fiscal year/period..Create a replacement path variable on your FISCAL YEAR/PERIOD object, let's call it ZFISC_TO, with the following settings..SHOW this RKF..
Afterwards, filter your fiscal year/period in the "shown" RKF with below setting..Then right click, choose OFFSET and write -11 then 0..
