Hi,
Has anyone actually been able to save documents with AO 2.0 with a HANA relational connection via ODBC or JDBC?
I have a similar problem to Araceli. This works fine with AO 1.4 SP12 using the relational connection via Business Objects connections to HANA (which is running Rev82). I can save files locally or save a workbook to the Business Object platform without issue.
However with AO 2.0 SP03 I cannot save at all using the same connector - neither locally nor to Business Objects. I get the error message "Cannot save workbook in 1.4 format due to an SAP HANA data source". All other functionality seems to work fine but when you try to save it fails, which is not ideal.
From what I can see the http connector only works with HANA SP09 which is not an option for us in production at present.
I have edited the ao_app.config file as per these articles How to maintain Analysis Office 2.0 settings and Saving workbook as 1.x format using 2.x and can see in Advanced Settings that the option "Save workbooks in 1.4 format by default" is ticked.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi! BSI has issued Release 10.0 Regulatory Bulletin Number 53 but SAP only has TUB 051. Anybody knows when SAP is going to issue 052 and 053 TUBs? Thank you!
Hi Mark, Araceli - if there's no response here (I am not using HANA) I recommend opening an incident/message with SAP Support - I am not sure of the options for you at this point
Hi Experts,
Need your help troubleshooting this error. After our enhancment pack upgrade started facing this issue only in our ECC system.
When i try to add a update a owner to a ECC firefighter id I am unable to do so. I selected owner --> selected open after selecting the user I wanted to add more FF ids to --> selected add new entry--> search for FF ids listed --> No entries are getting populated.
If I try to update an existing FF id in the owners table I am getting a warning message saying invalid FF id
When I run the invalid emergency access user report - all the ECC ff ids are listed with invalid role under status column.
Things i checked:
Connection is successful
Configuration looks good
All FF ids have the role designed in parameter 4010
Able to request a ECC ff id
Able to populate FF id logs
Able to update controllers table with FF id updates for ECC
Only issue is with the owners table.
Any ideas on what i can look at?
Thank you
Kiran
Hi,
I'm on NW IDM 7.2 SP9 latest patch level.
I've got a test NW AS ABAP 7.40SR2 with two clients (100 and 110) which are connected to repositories in the IDM system.
I've run initial load jobs from SAP Provisioning Framework Version 2 (PFv2) for each client.
The initial loads write the SAP* and DDIC users into the IC DB without issues, even though of course the last names of these users are not available. When looking at the users in the IDM UI I can verify the lastname is empty.
Now I want to run an user update job, with the scenario in mind that the ABAP system could have had changes to the assigned user profiles.
When I make a new job with the wizard, use the initial load as a template, and then disable all the passes in there but for the ReadABAPUsers and WriteABAPUsers and WriteABAPUsersRolePrivilegeAssignments and WriteABAPUsersProfilePrivilegeAssignments jobs, I expect the job to update the users for that repository in IDM with the new profiles that are in the ABAP system for these users. I know this goes against standard practices of not changing the user accounts anymore in the ABAP system once you've done the initial load job and driving that from IDM only thereafter.
However, what I see now in my job logs is errors on the writing of the SAP* and DDIC users as they have no last names.
Does anyone know why that happens? Why did this work in the first initial load job run, and now it fails when I do an update run? Do I need to make modifications to the destination params of the write steps (if yes, where and how)? Do I need to make additional steps to skip updates if SPA* or DDIC are being updated? How?
Just curious. My generic update run as per standard documentation for the client specific roles and profiles work fine, but that way of course I don't get any changes made to the roles/profile assignments of the users in the ABAP systems anymore once they are made after the initial run.
Do we really need to go to a binary mode where we cannot allow anymore changes to user settings once the ABAP system has been initially loaded to IDM?
Hi Experts,
I need to estimate the complexity of implementing SAP VC in a project, but I only have some basic knowhow about VC.
Here are some points I think need to be found out to define the complexity, I came from sales point of view
1. How complicated the BOM of Product
2. How many level of configuration in the product
3. Number of Price relevant Attribute / Attributes value
4. Number of Packages (combinations variants ) would be used in Sales
5. Number of factors / attributes which could effect the consistency
if the complexity can be divided into 1. simple 2. middle 3. complex 4. very complicated ,
is there any more criteria can be used to evaluate ?
Could some one give me some comments or suggestions ?
Thanks a lot!!!
The delivery of Tax Update Bulletin notes for Tax Factory 10.0 will be replaced completely by the Synchronize Payroll Tax Data (HRPAYUS_SYNC_TAX_DT) transaction, available with the March 2014 HR Support Package. After April 2015, tax data configuration will be available only via the Synchronize Payroll Tax Data tool and the delivery of Tax Update Bulletin notes will be discontinued. Plan the adoption of the new tool in advance. More information can be found in SAP Note 1975742
SAP no longer is going to create the TUB transports. You have to run a tool to create them yourself.
Here's a thread that discusses this:
Adel, In this case you have to install Oracle first. (this is specific to Sourcing) - please do this with Oracle instructions and then jump back to step 2.x....and follow SAP Sourcing Instructions to setup the Schema for Oracle ...
Chris,
Thank you for your reply. Question: Is the system path in the pb.ini file, or in the Windows Registry? If the Windows Registry, which key is it under?

According to me, people say "according to me" because they don´t want to say "in my humble opinion"
Hi,
if custom fields already exists in SAP CRM then I think we can extend standard Fiori apps to custom fields directly in Fiori. Hope below link might be some help.

Hello,
As I said I tried logging in using both S numbers i.e. the very first thing I tried was using the certificate for my old S number as I reasoned that S number was linked to my account so that was the one to used.
I only tried the other S number when the first one failed. I think the problem is that the original S number has expired i.e. I cannot use it for the SAP support portal any longer, or SCN.
Just to be clear about this:-
A "tenant administrator" is someone who has set up an account on the CAL?
I presume when the message "you have been authenticated" comes up it does not actually mean "you have been authenticated" but rather that "an attempt will be made to authenticate you".
I just tried pressing "cancel" when the list of two certificates came up, but I still got the "you have been authenticated" message and the confusing message about tenants.
How can I get to a screen where I can set up a new account using my new S number? How can I kill the old account?
Typing in cal.sap.com in a web browser just starts the automatic "authentication" process.
Cheersy Cheers

Hi,
When i create a work order for a FLoc which has only 1 equipment installed, the system copies the equipment and makes it the reference object of the work order (location details get copied from equipment rather than FLoc).
[The installed equipment XXXXXXX was copied- Message no. IM046]
I assume this is standard SAP behaviour but I don't want the equipment in the order. If i delete the equipment then the system again copies it after save.
Any suggestions how to avoid the equipment in the order?
Hi Raymond,
Did you solve your issue?
Note that scheduled rules only apply to tickets changed after the rule is activated, they don't apply retroactively to all tickets.
Thanks,
Gab
