Hi Uma,

 

are the info-providers that use this info-object already moved to other system? quality/prod ?

 

Try to change and activate the object in Developement system and while activating you will receive warning messages from all the objects that will turn inactive after this change. Check what all objects are getting affected and take a decision accordinly.

 

If you dont want to take this risk then as Loed suggested you can try this by a dummy object. Like create an object with ALpha conversion use it in any dummy infoprovider-> load data -> try to change the Alpha conversion.

 

when you say that you want to change the behaviour of this info-object, you must understand that the behaviour will change universally and you will need to reload data for all the infoproviders as the behaviour of the object now needs to be changed and it should uniform behaviour everywhere.

    The process which you said have tried I mean have generated getter and setter methods but the context node is showing as standard only.

Hi Karan,

 

That is a very big topic actually.  You should try Forecast functionality in SAP ECC with a Forecast version.  It is a bit limited and not covering for everything as it should, but for a limited number of scenarios it works fine and also supports manual updates through Forecast Workbench.

 

Many projects doing it in BPC, some use ECC Add-ons like Noveco, but I still hope SAP can improve it in ECC.  But otherwise you are pushed into BPC that is also being sold by SAP...

Hi,

 

I've found the rootcouse of the problem....the basis team made a mistake when they configured the rfc connection....after i fixed it now the app works as a charm. Lesson learned: always doublecheck the rfc!

Hi Puru,

 

you should not use the GL Account bank for G/L posting because of the subledgers and the bank account balances.

Balances of the bank account are confirmed in a bank statement. A bank statement contains all outgoing and incoming payments for the bank account. So the outgoing payroll summary is posted to the bank account. Then you need to bring this balance to the mentioned interim account (this is not the clearing account), which should balance to zero after both: payment of payroll and posting of JEV.

So the posting for the JEV is:

     Expense Posting:

          Debit: salaries, health care expenses, etc.

          Credit: interim account, Credit: Clearing Account or Cash in Transfer

Chaitanya,

 

     Sounds like an Adobe reader issue, if you have validated the fonts properly.

 

  • What version is your Adobe Reader installed on the desktops ?
  • Test using Chrome by going to Website that displays Chinese &/or Hindi fonts and then convert webpage to PDF to see if the Adobe Reader displays properly.

Why are you removing the page?

 

e.g.

Just add the two detail pages:

 

this.app.addDetailPage(sap.ui.jsview("Detail1", "tablet.mvc.views.Detail1"));
this.app.addDetailPage(sap.ui.jsview("Detail2", "tablet.mvc.views.Detail2"));

Do your initial navigation:

 

this.app.toDetail("Detail1");

 

In the press event of your button navigate to the other detail page:

 

sap.ui.getCore().byId("appId").toDetail('Detail2');

Notification mails for Technical Monitoring stops

Hi All,

 

 

We have Technical Monitoring scenario on our solution manager 7.1 SPS11 and it was working fine. Now suddenly the notification mails stops and are not triggering from the system.

 

I can find the EWA mails and other in the SOST but not the monitoring alerts.

 

I checked and found the notifications are active but still the alerts are not triggering.

 

I can find the alerts under Technical Monitoring --> alert inbox.

 

 

Please suggest where else I can check.

Hi Anusha,

 

You are correct. If you do not select Sales order and Sales order item number as segment level chars. in KEQ3 then it is impossible to get them in your KE24 report for account based COPA. this is a limitation in account based COPA. However in Costing based COPA both chars. will be still available even if you don't select them in KEQ3.

 

Regarding the best approach, We from SAP do not recommend using these two chars as segment level chars. The reason being for each item in your sales order a new segment number will be created and it will unnecessarily burden the segment tables. If your business has an absolute necessity to report on sales order and sales order item number then you will have to inform business about the probable performance issues and accordingly take a decision.

At last after a long struggle , my issue got fixed..

 

Small things will take longer time ..

 

Solution is :

 

write lv_amt CURRENCY ls_bsid-waers to LV_AMT.


step1 :Get the last occurrence of decimal separator  and then get exact number decimals .

 

Step 2: next replace all occurrences of ', .' with space and condense LV_AMT.

 

Step 3 : divide lv_amt by 10 ** number of decimals.

 

I have changed the wrbtr field type to char 16 digit.

 

It works now.

Hi Midhun,


Here is my exact requirement.

 

I have a (source) actual database table called say "Tickets" with 50 columns and more than 40000 records.

 

My requirement is that i need to develop a mobile app to show the various reports using charts. (month wise reports, year wise etc..).

 

JDBC as Data source in Integration Gateway:

If I use this approach, I do not want entire data to be available in the UI.

More over, I need to have different entity properties rather Employee table has. Eg: NoOfTicketsRaised, NoOfResolvedTickets etc like.

That means, from same source table i need to have multiple entities as response depending on different input fields.

 

 

 

REST as Data source in Integration Gateway:

 

If I full fill this requirement , I need to write 15 web services to fetch from the Tickets DB using CXF -  Jersey and then integrate the same services with SMP using integration gateway.

 

               "Rather writing  the web services and then integrate with the SMP, Can I do the same with direct integrate the database and do using custom processors"

 

 

But I have only one source table but need to generate different outputs may be in same entity or as separate entities.


Please let me know if anything not clear.
