Is there any documentation for implementing SSO out of the box? In sap course ADM960 it details setting up SSO. No additional software, such as SSO 1.0-2.0 was required. The only thing downloaded was the cryptographic library. We are using Linux systems.
I want to implement SSO using the tools built in. Any help would be great.

There are two exceptions to the "all or nothing" rule: Display Attributes and Key Figures. Display Attributes (of type Characteristic) need full (*) authorization to be displayed (and otherwise it will be hidden from display). Key Figures can be made authorization relevant using Characteristic 0TCAKYFNM. Full (*) authorization will allow the user to see all Key Figures. Otherwise only the explicitly authorized Key Figures can be seen (and all others will be hidden from display).
Please refer also to SAP Help.
E.g. if your BEx Query contains the Key Figures 0AMOUNT and 0QUANTITY and you are only authorized to see 0QUANTITY, then 0AMOUNT will be hidden. It should not lead to an "no authorization" error.
Can you please share more details about the authorization error (preferably an extract of the RSECADMIN authorization trace log)?

I think my problem might be related to 2 things
1.) The 3rd party web service provides a WSDL without a fault message (https://services.postcodeanywhere.co.uk/CapturePlus/Interactive/Find/v2.10/wsdl.ws) . However, they send a standard soap fault message on error as shown in the original post. So far that seems indeed comply to the soap fault standard.
2.) They send (as far as I can see) HTTP 200, even on fault. However, I tried with a soupUI mockup service which sends HTTP 500 but with the same behavior.
To overcome 1.) I imported the W3C soap xsd (http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/) as an external definition (type XSD) and refenced the "Fault" message within my inbound synchronous interface. However, this doesn't seem to do the trick
I don't know if 2.) is anything of an interest or if 200 or 500 should both be ok to catch application faults.
I also read about some people activating "do not use soap envelope" but this seems like a big backdraw, as normal response works fine

Patrick, this might not work for EDI orders. In the EDI orders customer info record is used to map the IDoc values. I believe this happens before the order transaction even starts, so it's possible that this user exit won't be triggered. I'm not 100% sure though but if EDI is used it'd definitely be a concern.
As far as the original question goes - the answer really depends on the data volume and update frequency. LSMW would work for once in a blue moon but if it needs to be done frequently and/or by business users then you'd need a program.

When you set the sales order it is possible the system checks these invoices paid by "checks". But you've to ask a ABAP help.

When we update customer master in ecc interface from ecc to c4c via pi updates the
Account in c4c. But surprisingly it's deleting the contacts relationship from accounts in c4c.
Please help us any one got to face similar issue. How to handle this.

I second that as the most profound answer as of now. Use Party (and Business Component) in ID for any 3rd party services. Use technical system / business system for actual systems you have control of.

I want to use /BODS/RFC_STREAM_READ_TABLE, because if i understood correctly, it implements this method (RFC transport method - Enterprise Information Management - SCN Wiki) a therefore i won't have any problems with table widths and other restrictions.
This function module has two non optional parameters which are "QUERY_TABLE" and "CALLBACK_FM". The thing is i have no idea what i'm supposed to enter as "CALLBACK_FM".

I am currently working in a roll-out project where the below scenario using installed base. As of now, I am not allowed to access their system due to various reasons. So, I am here to ask help on any details about this functionality and what is needed to implement the same?
In Germany, a customer has grouped equipments under a process loop in one installed base and generating reports to see all equipments due for periodic maintenance. Also, such grouping is also giving them a structure similar to a functional location structure in PM but, helps them to identify equipments which are connected functionally and thereby if some breakdown occurs they get to know all the equipments impacted under it.
To me this seems to be a very useful functionality for PM. They said they use SAP CRM for this.
Can someone shed light on the ibase functionality? Can the business scenario be met without installing SAP CRM?

I am working on a program and am stuck on how to format the display using RTTS. I need to have both the rows and columns have titles. Also I am basically swapping rows and column in terms of display for instance location 1 below would have many values down each related to a particular field. The fields highlighted in yellow need to be actual field names. Is this possible with RTTS?

In your application while creating UI element use createId
new sap.m.Text(this.createId("textId"),...)
and retrieve using view.byId("textId")

I have been trying to run the pre-upgrade test on
an 8.82 - 9.1 conversion now for about 8 hours and it has been stuck at 69/90
progress for 6 of those hours. I cannot decide if I should stop the process or
if it is actually doing anything. I do not see any real CPU usage from upgrade.exe to speak of,
but I am not receiving any error from the app either. Has anyone ever seen this,
or does anyone have any idea how long this should take? I don’tbelieve the DB
is especially large maybe 50G.
Any help would be appreciated.
