Automatic role assignment - BPC
Hi All,
I am new to BPC and hence would need some guidance.
I have observed that Z* roles are automatically being assigned to users at the backend system for BPC.
Is there a way we can control this? I do not want the roles to be assigned automatically to the user in the backend system.
Kindly guide me on this.

License Number is linkedin word.
There is no License number in SAP wording. It is called your S ID.
Check your physical copy of your certification.
For example, your ID number mentioned on your certificate is 0001234567 then your S ID would be
S0001234567

Attached the screen shots for these Tcodes. Area 30 and 50 have same settings, but depreciation values are not showing for 30, 31 and 51, but showing for 50.
I am not sure about whether this area 51 was added later or there in initial configuration. Because we recently started in this client. I will check this point.

JVA Recovery Indicator determination
Hi Experts
For the cut back process in Joint venture accounting we have posted FI document with Recovery Indicator 1 bilable but in JVA documents it was updated with wrong recovery indicator 2 corporate recovery indicator. This would be 1 to complete cutback process.
Please let me know why recovery indicator was wrongly updated in JVA documents.

HI,
Make sure you refer the inserted table again for final table once you are done with copying the row first time. Internal table is not getting refreshed, that should be the problem. If you put breakpoint and check the final internal table getting referred, you can find this.

Thanks for getting back with the result of how it all worked, as that's the best validation, no? I'm really glad it worked out for you, and it seems you have a good foundation now for the migration and other work you have planned.
With regard to whether you need to keep/migrate your existing (new) split-off Java instance, or whether you can just install a fresh, clean, new one on Sybase ASE, I can't say for sure, but given that you haven't been using the Java instance to this point, presumably there's no customization or significant configuration in it that you need to keep. Therefore, I would expect there is no reason you couldn't just abandon the old one and install a fresh new one when you're ready on the new DB platform. In fact, I think that's a better idea, as it's much more likely to be clean and well-functioning when installed fresh with the latest tools, versions, etc.

snapshot is not the ideal way since everytime i have to check the progress i will have to see it from the time the job had begun.
I was thinking if there is anyway to check it online while it has been running. Rather than taking snapshot and then again taking a snapshot and calculating the delta.

CK 256 Error Message; No cost field for fixed costs has been defined
Hi Experts,
We're facing this error upon running the Preliminary cost estimate (via KKF6N). The system complains about one of the components of the Cost Component Structure of being only Variable opposed to "Variable + Fixed"
The text of the Error Message Diagnosis is as below:
" The cost rollup resulted in a cost element containing fixed costs than cannot be assigned in a cost component structure ZG because cost component 030 was only defined variable cost in customizing."
I completely understand the "Cost Component Structure" configuration, but the cost elements assigned to the cost component (030); that the system complaining about; are not Fixed cost elements. Those Cost elements are primary cost elements and have nothing to do with planning on manufacturing cost center.
The fact is the system now live, and this issue is in production. Yet im not able to re-produce the issue in the QA client, and I don't want to change the cost component config in dev and transport it to production, which might break something else.
Experts,
Do you see any other reason why we get this error message?? Any safe way to fix it ?? Any idea of re-producing the issue??
Currently MF30 for the materials in question works fine in QA but in production.

Details on SAP User Exit or Enhancement available to check discontinuted materials in Production Order
Hi,
I need information and help on suitable SAP user exit or enhancement for Production order for this below scenario.
- While creating production order in CO01 system does material status checks if master data is fine then i can save the the production order. But if a BOM component had been updated with Discontinuation indicator in MPR4 view and details of follow up material updated in Material master then system pops up message informing
"The component XXXX has material status Phase out ROH. Do you still want to adopt the component?".
- Then there is option of Yes, No and Cancel in the Pop Up message.
- If i click on Yes then new component gets replaced with discontinuation material and then i can save the production order
- If i click on No then new component will not get replaced and production order should not be saved
If you have come across this scenario and would like to know which User exit or enhancement can be used
