Hello,

 

Can someone please tell me what am I missing?  When i deep copy existing UI configuration to custom UI and then hide couple of fields and added couple of fields.  After that I  went to MDGIMG > General Settings>Process Modeling> Business Activities> Link Log Action with UI application and Bus. Activity.Custom Definition and then updated Link Logical Actions with Business Activity: Custom Definition.  When I went to test my UI some reason I can't see my changes.

 

Any help you can provide would be highly appreciated.

Looks like you might be able to use "Unit of Measurement Groups" found at Administration -> Setup -> Inventory -> Unit of Measurement Groups.

 

Define them using the base UoM's like a "a Box of 10" and "a Pallet of 200" and then assign the group to the item.

 

You could name your UoM's like "a Box of 100" so you can use them on other items.


Play around with those ideas and see if you can come up with something that will work.

We are a new Customer and do not find this software as intuitive as we thought and would like to know if others experienced the same growing pains with setup and implementation?

We are in the process of setup and implementation for the past two months with the anticipation of going live on January 1 2015. I thought the software would be intuitive but find it more difficult to comprehend and understand the setup process. We are planning on testing the software during November and editing the setup as required, but Project Management and Finance/Accounting (Account determination groups) are not doing as well as I expecting with setup and their learning curves. We do not have anyone on staff that has used this software and I am having a difficult time finding experienced Users.

 

Did any of you experience the same issues and if so, what solutions did you use to assist with? Did you implement in a similar time table or was it a shorter or longer duration.

 

Any insight you may have would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Ana,

 

Material ledger has 2 big features: Parallel currencies/valuations and Actual Cost settlement. If your requirement is to have material ledger only for actual costs purposes it's possible to have only one currency type setup in ML Currency Profile.

 

In my opinion there are some advantages of having only the currency type 10 (local currency):

- Performance, because transactional tables such as CKMLCR, CKMLPRKEPH, MLCD, etc... will have up to 3 times less records as CURTP is table key. In consequence, ML Cockpit run will be faster.

- Less chances of erros. If you have several currencies, sometimes erros occurs in only one cur type (for exemple Negative Price).

- Have to maintain several currencies in manual postings like MR22/MR21/CKMLCCC.

 

The disaventage is that if you don't have a hard currency in ML you will not be able to valuate your stocks for index purposes if your local currency suffer with inflation.

Ticket's Work Distribution

Hello Everybody,

 

I am implementing C4C in a service scenario, then, when ticket record is created by level 1 support, and depending of service category,      escalating the ticket, so it is routed to level 2 support.

 

 

 

Follow an example of my Service Categories :

 

Categories                            Category Type

 

1000 Information                   Process

   1001 Financial                   Incident

       1002 Contract                Object Part

          1003 Better Date        Cause

 

 

I am using the Organizational work distribution to route my tickets to the responsible area.

So, I tried to route my tickets considering the last level (1003) of my service category, and the work distribution didn´t work.

Only works with Category Type "Process", but my process requirement is considering the last level, Category Type "Cause".

 

How can I consider the last level to work distribution ticket ?

SNC Transport Lanes and Web User Administration

I have created the TL for our vendor BP, and assigned it to the model/planning version. I do not yet have any entries in the "Product Specific Transportation Lane", but I do have the "Means of Transport" defined for the Model/Planning Version/Start/Destination.

 

When I go to the SNC Portal User Administration screen and search for the business partner, I get the message "No Business Partner found for the specified selection".

 

If I use Tcode SU01, I can see users set up for the business partner.

If I add an entry for All Products to the "Product Specific Transportation Lane", I can see users for the BP on the SNC portal User Administration screen.

 

Does this mean that in order to maintain users an entry MUST exist in the "Product Specific Transportation Lane"? What does the TL have to do with BP user administration on the SNC portal?

There are 3 standard datasources I want to implement but they are not available in RSA5 in ECC. how can i check what version of BW Business Content I have in ECC. If I go in Status it is showing SAP BW 700 Level 05. Does it mean I have

 

SAPBW7.0SP5 business content installed in ECC?

Nothing standard, but you could work around using Legal Control (licences).

If you can use a viewer for this, one of the 3rd-party Crystal Report viewers listed at http://kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html provides that functionality. 
By naming a parameter in a certain way, the parameter becomes read only and is always set to the current windows User ID.

Resolved this error.

 

In project, I have Stack bar chart and pie chart.

 

d3.selectAll(".v-datashape"); This code returns all datashape.

 

when I loop json with all datashape it throws "count undefined error"

Thanks Vijay, it is really great documentation and examples, so as I said earlier I have created the web dynpro DC and model and consumed the WSDL--Adaptive web service model  (which is from middle-ware SAP PI system) and created the service groups along with the model,

and build and deploy the Web dynpro dc on to my local Web AS Java 7.3 server, now the issue is on the service group in local NW7.3 java server.

 

http://<host>:50000/nwa --> SOA-->Application and Scenario Communication--> Application Communication--> deployed web services it has only Consumed Service Group not the Provided Services, in other words I'm not able to configure the PI URL further to communicate with the PI web service in run time, any idea where to configure the provided services or how to enable the configuration as shown below to configure the PI URL?


Heard that the below URL can be sent to server using service groups, I have created the service group, but not has anything on NWDS to configure and deploy the URL to AS Java 7.3

Can any one please help me if this is the right way and also how to enable the configuration to configure the PI URL which will be interacting during run time.

Boa noite a todos,

Estou com problemas no cenário de importação onde a tag <vBC> está sendo preenchida:

 

-<ICMS>

-<ICMS90>

<orig>1</orig>

<CST>90</CST>

<modBC>3</modBC>

<vBC>10892.48</vBC>

 

e com isso esta dando a rejeição Rejeição: 531 Total da BC ICMS difere do somatório dos itens.

 

Ao debugar vi que no Include LJ_1B_NFEF79 a variável  já esta com valor default = 'X':

 

 

lv_use_vbc          TYPE c value 'X',

 

Por acaso alguém aplicou alguma nota que corrigiu este problema?

Button INSERT: How add more of one line in AB (CRM UI)

Hi Guys,

 

I have a requirement, i need is that in the Items assignment block, the Insert button allow me to add more one line, in this case insert 10 lines at a time.

 

 

My component is BT115IT_SLSO/Items, in the Event Handler,  the event EH_ONINSERT  is inactive.

 

Could you give me an idea?

Hi All,

 

We are seeing entries in this table for all the rules in our rule set, even though the activity control "Log task" is not checked.

Also, now that I want to switch it off for all the rules, some of the rules do not have the "activity control" options ?

 

 

We have the Logging on at event handler level set to "1 Minimial - Only high level processes" option. Is this causing this entries irrespective of the config at the rule set level ?

 

 

Your help will be appreciated.

Hi Roy,
I am using 9.1 and it is working.

 

this 127.0.01 is the dashboard B1i Administrative Logon.

and it should be the same as your dashboard login when you click from the general settings inside sap business one.

 

If the URL is giving you a different IP or it is pointing to the server name, then go back to your SLD maintenance  and update the correct settings. (database, xcelsius and hanyxcelsius).

So I use install guide to install the SAP vanilla system and new db create then use homogeneous system copy steps with db export

 

Or you are saying Run sapinst for fresh SAP installation and when DB create step comes choose option db export from different system so it will be in one step. Right

Re: Implications of Non-Prod data size larger than memory available

Hello Justin,

 

Hard to tell if will start or not. All row store tables will need to be fully loaded in the DB during BW start and operation. If the amount of memory necessary to maintain these up in RAM is bigger than what you have then it won't start.

 

If it's close to the limit and it does not sum up with other mandatory parts of the DB/BW, you might still see lots of out of memory dumps/ unloads occurring in the system for different operations. That might appear 'ok'  for a non-prod env but honestly, whenever you try to make a real test, there's a big chance things will fail miserably (or just be boring slow).

 

Historically, NW and BW devs are always pushing the tables to be column store (see this nice blog post from Lars), and you might think that this would allow you to have smaller boxes for non-prod systems. Theorically, yes. Never been there though. However, having nw / bw core tables being unloaded/reloaded does not sound good to me.

 

One exercise that can be done is to run the BW on HANA sizing ABAP report on production to get a rough idea of the required amount of memory for each store and possibility to have BW non-prod starting or not.

 

I've seen a few happy customers implementing and maintaining non-prod systems in a disaster recovery site. That requires another production clone appliance (for replication) and additional storages where you can have QA and Test. This way you'll be able to get much closer to the real production environment (thus, much better testing) and will have a nice disaster recovery site. Of course, if things go bad and you need your replication site to takeover production, your non-prod systems will have to go for a nap (at least until you fix things up ).

 

I hope this adds a bit to the discussion.
