Hi,

 

Have you ever worked on "Extended Computer Aided Test Tool" ? Tcode for this is SECATT. Your requirement can be achieved through this. But technically, it requires really good effort and unfortunately I cannot guide you the steps here.

 

Anyways, your problem is a “known problem” with PS conversions, but a couple of options exist.

 

The most efficient is that the projects are created by copying from template (LSMW run 1 for CJ20), and as second step maintained for individual WBS (LSMW run 2 for CJ20), where e.g. WBS data can be maintained and underlying activities added, but even for the second one, you face a problem if the activity lists/structures vary a lot in quantity and levels.

 

The bottom line is that if the projects to be imported do not fit into templates, the system should have the same logic structurally. Programming the LSMW or ECATT requires so much, that it doesn’t make sense for below 1000 projects. In this specific case for 100-150 projects, if a “copy from template” approach doesn’t work, the most efficient solution by far is a column wise ‘copy-paste’, grouped in advance like it is done in Excel.

 

There are some other options you could take since you are confused with levels.

 

You can use LSMW in a different way to upload the project

 

1. Create project definition & Level 1 WBS & one Level 2 WBS element manually.

 

2. Now while carrying out recording for LSMW in cj02, use Insert Line option above Level 2.

 

3. In the Excel file, Keep all the down below WBS elements at level 2 only.

 

4. After uploading the complete file, carry out function “Derive Structure” for project.

 

This method is useful if you are copying the coding mask of a superior WBS into subordinate WBS elements.

 

ELSE, you may go with the BAPI as suggested by Saurabh

Unable to delete filter in Report filter

Hi Experts ,

 

I have an issue with the removal of filter. I am working with BO 4.1 version.

Actually i got an requirement to remove the existing filter in one of the report.When I went to the report filter screen , the existing filter is in disable mode ( i mean it is in gray color ). And even the remove filter options are also in disable mode. Only Add filter option is in enable mode.filter issue in report filter.jpg

 

Could anyone please help me out how to remove the existing filter from report filter screen.

Hi Arnold,

I checked my Category Dimension, all the properties you mentioned are there but i realised that i had made a mistake in the same by putting Y in  RATE_PERIOD property. After making the correction i did not get get this error message.

Hi Nitin,

 

One approach would be to reproduce the error in Quality/Dev systems by testing with text field in validation.

If you are able to reproduce the issue then comparing the two cases can help isolating the problem.

Check it technically via SE16 the table LQUAB.

SAP is sending this error message if your storage type is  bulk  and the inventory indicator is different from dynamic cycle count and the summary quant is not zero in field AOFTA of table LQUAB.

Hi Steven,

 

Having a thread in "Locking Resource" does not mean there is an issue unless it does not stay in that state.

 

I don't know how does "Bradmak" to determine when to report this error, but if it just issue an "admin who" command and check the status of each thread, it is possible it had seen that in a snapshot only.

 

Now, if the state remain, it could be a lake of resource or cache size undersized.

In such case, it's a better practice to run and collect several "admin time admin who admin who,sqm admin who,sqt" to check how things are "moving" in SRS including threads status, Queue markers and other counters reported here.

DTW error in SAP B1 Version 9 PL05

Hi,

 

I'm trying to upload a sales order in DTW but getting the error, "To create nodes of type 'ELEMENT' a valid name must be specified".

 

This is despite the fact of running the DTW as Administrator in compatibility mode as I read in some other threads.

 

Your assistance will be appreciated.

I have checked & followed both notes instructions but no result as required.  Actually I am facing this issue only for dep.area-32(group curr.) for other areas under same asset class I am able to activate it at asset class level & at asset master level as well.

It would be grateful if I get some clue.

Batch input session SM35 logs for manual deletion of a new session

Hi Experts,

 

We have one treasury job which moves file from one path to another path(at OS) and generates new batch session in SM35.

Its a frequent activity. But surprisingly yesterday job completed and file moved as expected but session not there in SM35.

 

We suspect two possibilities,

1) Session may not created:- for this we replicated same on quality and  found session created in sm35 for the same file.

2) New session might be created but some one deleted it manually from SM35 by mistake:- if this is the case where to check logs of manual deletion sessions which are in new status.

 

I have checked System logs, SM35P, Table APQI/APQL, work directory and report RSBDCTL3 but unfortunately not able to find the corresponding logs(if session deleted manually by someone from SM35) any where.

 

Please guide me if there is any other location/tcode where we can get the SM35 new session manual deletion logs.

You can very much expose SAP backend data into SOAP services and consume through Integration gateway (IGW).

 

An SAP backend can expose SOAP services natively and Odata/REST using SAP Gateway (formly called as SAP Netweaver Gateway). For creating mobile apps on SMP 3.0, SAP suggests that you first create services in the backend using SAP Gateway and then connect to SAP Gateway using ODC datasource from SMP. While creating an application id in admin cockpit, provide IGW URL as backend URL.
