Actually in some case, while fetching data from IBM data stage to SAP BW,There are some Data stage jobs which will run before the BW job runs and Data stage jobs upload the data in some Excel format for BW.From there BW will pull the data.if everything is fine in BW,its better to check the data stage jobs once.

Hi everybody,
three years later, I have a similar (probably very simple) question. I am new at SAP byDesign and have read a lot of blogs now, but I have not found an answer yet.
I need to get data out of SAP byDesign to analyse them elsewhere and I found some webservices which would perfom perfectly.
My problem is, that I do not know how to activate them. The webservices I need (for example Query Journal Entries, Query Supplier Invoices, Query Customer Invoices) are not part of one of those "Communication Arrangements" provided by SAP byDesign. Therefore I cannot activate them with one of my "Communication Systems". Where do I get a username and a password that are authorized to use these queries?

This is a quite common requirement of the End user. As you know, we don't create all GL masters in our Golden Environment, progressively GL numbers get increased in PRD, so they don't get fetched in FSV version until unless you are having the full range assigned to the nodes.

CALL SAP PORTAL URL WITH ROLE INSIDE NWBC FOR DESKTOP
Dear All,
I have an issue I want to submit you.
We are distributing the connection to ERP system thru NWBC desktop edition. Our aim is to make ERP system as the central access point to all the other systems.
It's not a problem for systems like HCM that can be accesses just with the logic of roles of HCM attracted in ERP and building the two RFC destinations required by that.
But for the portal we have this kind of problem. I have created a role in PFCG with that calls the URL of the portal. Portal is in relase 7.01 and it seems to be old for NWBC 4.0. It shows "sorry your browser is not supported the the ivew inside it". It works perfectly in IE setting the compatibility view.
But this is not valid for NWBC Desktop Edition that ignores this setting.
Any suggestion? Any way to force NWBC to work in "compatibility view" for a specific view?

The reason for the exception is:

(d) SE19: What are these? Isn't the RUNLOGIC BADI already supported in 10.1NW?

Thank you very much for your fast response. I see you have a lot of experience in this topics.
I tell you right now I have the package of Best Practices to install but not a system to make testing then I´m going just over a theoretical scenario.
I see in the package the Crystal reports and dashbaords preconfigured but the documentation is not so clear, it seems to have:
- Quick guide for different countries.The note given in last forums was removed so I can´t get the right document for Germany for example.
- Guide for each scenario
- Guides for each BPD
Do you know any manuals or information additional that could help on the way to see clearer the integration of all this steps needed? Or about the activation of the Crystal reports and Dashbaords?

BW Finance Query
Hello, I want to know a general thing about BW. Let's say one company already has BW implemented for Finance and other modules. that company buys another company but the new company is not on SAP. The company who buys the new company wants to put the bought out company on SAP so they develop BAPIs to bring their data to ECC. My question is what type of questions should be asked to the new company when they want to do reporting in BW? Is there a template available some where which can be used?

SAP DI method GetByKey() crash my app if the key does not exist
Hi All,
I have an issue in recent our SAP upgrade from 882 to SAP 9, I noticed that my application will crash if GetByKey() method receive a none exist key value. For example, items.GetByKey(item_code) for ItemMaster, if the item_code doesn't exist in SAP OITM table, then my application crashes. The exception says "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupted" But if I pass a exist ItemCode value then no exception. I am using 8.8 DI dll, but I tried DI 9.0, seems same result. I tried for BP object, similar issue. Seems my try/catch can't capture this exception. Any idea?
P.S. Everything is running well in my previous 882.

If you use Oracle-Db and you can see EKKO and EKPO filled ins SE16 before commit, something is wrong. Maybe you have an user-exit where someone programmed a "commit work".

SMP 3.0 SP04: Agentry - publish changes to productive instance
Hi Experts.
I have deployed a productive instance of an Agentry application on my SMP 3.0 SP04 PL01 server.
Now I wanted to change the JavaBE.ini file, so I zipped the agentry application folder from the server, replaced the JavaBE.ini file and tried to republish.
Now I get this error: "The archive did not contain any new production application versions".
Ofcourse it didn't !
I am not publishing a new version but a change to the configuration.
Does this really mean, that you must generate a new version of your application every time you make a change for a productive instance ??
