ALV grid function module REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC
Hi all,
I am using this REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC function module in my (FI module).
When client executes the report it is working fine. But when they want to convert into excel format they are clicking the excel button which is in the output screen. When they click that button to display in excel format columns are not aligned in proper way. Client needs excel format with proper alignment. But columns are shifting to other column and hiding some values. Please help.

Parameter abap/heaplimit should trigger the restart of a process that consumes too much memory in order to reclaim the swap space that is not released by SAP process. On 740 the default value is 4 Gb, make sure it has not been set too high.

Impact on ERP integration with C4C using PI
Hi All,
We are about to install the add-on for C4C integration with ERP in ECC system. But before doing wanted to validate/confirm few things -
1. The add-on seems to support all new versions of ECC, does this include ECC on HANA ?
2. Is it necessary to backup the environment before installing the add-on ?
3. The component seems to be isolated from impacting any ECC functionality and its just for the purpose of integrating C4C with ECC. Would this mean that no regression testing is required in ECC ?
4. The component doesn't seems to have an uninstall option which would meant that any reverts could only be done through system backup only. Is this accurate ?

Hi Cliff,
within CAL we hide some of the technical complexity in order to keep things simple. This is like driving a car - in the late 19th century you had to know HOW to build and maintain a car before you could drive it - today the technical complexity of a car is taken away and you just turn the key (or even press a button) and keep going.
Directly answering your question - when you start the BW on HANA in CAL you only see one entry (row) in the INSTANCES tab. There are however 2 AWS instances (VMs) running. One with the BW and HANA, the other one with the UI tools. When you click on the details of the instance in the CAL UI you will see that there are 2 different IP addresses.

KeyFigure Structure is never visible in WebI, you will just have a flat list of Measures corresponding to all visible members of your KeyFigure Structure. For Structure based on Characteristics you will have a Dimension in Univers which will contain same hierarchy of members (visible ones) defined in Structure.
Any KeyFigure with unsupported configuration (like cumulation, local calculation ...) will not be leveraged in Universe, so it's possible to have no KeyFigure in QueryPanel outline if you have only unsupported KeyFigures in your Bex Query.
You should first try to create a BEx Query with very simple double Structure design, to make sure you get correct behavior in this case, and then create your DataCell definitions and Calculated/Restricted KeyFigures.

PS : any unsupported DataCell will give a warning output in SemanticLayer logs, to help BOE administrator understand why BOE Universe has not same exact design as BEx Query.

good to hear that issue is resolved. Just for 'maintain Authorization', what you can do is, first configure approval step and then maintain authorisation. It is logical to keep request approval step before maintain authorisation.

I have downgraded the kernel version to original that is 701 and upgraded it to Kernel version 720 of patch number 402 and it is working fine now.

The way I understand it, the sequence should be:
BAPI_XMI_LOGON
BAPI_XBP_... calls
BAPI_XMI_LOGOFF
I'd check what the BAPIs returns are; the message seems to indicate that the logon was not successful (before BAPI_XBP_JOB_STATUS_GET call). Maybe the logon expires after some time...? Sorry, I'm absolutely clueless about the Java connector stuff...

Hello Philip,
1st issue - All the fields from the head are left aligned and completely overwritten in the second page.
---> This is because the HEAD sub form is of type "Flowed". Make the HEAD sub form as type "Positioned". And then you need to position all the fields one beside the otherand this issue will be resolved. 
Always remember that the overflow leader sub form should be of type "Positioned" to avoid such problem.
2nd issue - Even the content from the body row overwrites the header line.
---> You have not shown any screenshots of the sub form properties which appears on the right hand side in the layout. But hopefully I think the 2nd issue by itself will get fixed once you fix the 1st issue. Well even if it doesn't, then this issue might be occurring because the TABLE sub form is "flowed with western text". Make it as"flowed with top to bottom". And also remove the check "Allow page breaks within content" from BODY sub form. Then this issue will be resolved.
